CNC Machining Services

Vajra Techno is a contract CNC machining shop in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. We machine customer-drawing parts in-house on vertical and horizontal machining centres, in grey cast iron, ductile iron, aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel 304 and 316. Finished components are dispatched pan-India.

What machining work is done in-house?

Three-axis vertical machining and horizontal machining with a fourth-axis rotary table are performed on our own floor, under our own process control. Both cells run from customer drawings and models. We do not subcontract the milling operation on parts we quote.

Typical work is prismatic: face milling, contour milling, pocketing, step boring, line boring, drilling, reaming, tapping and counterboring. Multi-face parts are handled either by re-fixturing on the vertical cell or by indexing on the horizontal cell, depending on which route holds the print tighter.

Turning, cylindrical grinding, heat treatment and surface treatment are quoted on request as part of a finished-part price. State the required secondary process on your enquiry and the process route, the responsible stage and the lead-time impact are confirmed in writing before the quotation is issued.

Which materials are machined?

We machine six material groups as standard:

Materials outside this list — free-machining brass, tool steels, engineering plastics — are quoted case by case. Send the grade with the drawing and you get a yes or no before you spend time on the enquiry.

What tolerances are held?

Achievable tolerance depends on the material, the feature and the fixturing route, so we publish it per material rather than as a single headline figure. The per-material table is on the machining capabilities page.

Every drawing is read for tolerance before the quotation goes out, and the tolerance we accept is the tolerance on your print. Tight callouts are reviewed individually against material, feature and fixturing route — we would rather decline a print than accept it and miss it in production.

Ask for the achievable band on your specific feature when you send the enquiry. You get a straight answer against that feature, in writing, before you commit a purchase order.

Do you supply material, or machine free-issue castings?

Both routes are supported. On free-issue work you send castings, forgings or cut bar stock and we return machined parts. On supply-and-machine work we procure raw material against your specification and quote a finished part price.

For free-issue castings we inspect incoming stock for machining allowance and visible defects before the first cut. Castings found short of stock or porous in a critical face are reported back rather than machined into scrap. Rejection handling on free-issue material is agreed in writing at order stage.

What drawing formats are accepted?

Send 3D models as STEP or IGES and 2D drawings as DWG, DXF or PDF. A dimensioned 2D print governs the part even when a model is supplied, because tolerance, datum scheme, surface finish and thread callouts live on the print. If you only have a model, we will ask for a marked-up print before quoting.

Revision control is on the drawing number and revision level. We machine to the revision stated on the purchase order. A revision change after order release is treated as an engineering change and re-quoted if it affects process.

How does a new part move from enquiry to production?

  1. Drawing review. We read the print for datum scheme, critical features, achievable fixturing and inspection method.
  2. Quote. Piece price, tooling or fixture cost if any, and lead time for the first lot.
  3. Process plan. Operation sequence, workholding and cutting strategy are fixed before the first cut.
  4. First article. A sample is machined and inspected against every dimension on the print, with a written report.
  5. Production. Batch runs against the approved process, with in-process checks at agreed frequency.
  6. Dispatch. Packed and shipped pan-India against your delivery schedule.

First-article approval is required before batch release on any new part. We do not run production on an unapproved sample.

Which part families are quoted most often?

Machined castings, hydraulic manifold blocks, shafts and bushes, bearing housings, flanges, spacers, pins, rollers, and jigs, fixtures and tooling components. Each has a dedicated page with the fixturing and inspection detail specific to that family.

Where do you supply?

Dispatch is pan-India from Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. Dewas sits on the Indore industrial belt with road connectivity to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, NCR and the southern manufacturing clusters. Freight is arranged by road transport as standard, on either to-pay or paid terms. Buyer-nominated transporters are accepted.

How do I get a quote?

Send the drawing, annual or batch quantity, material grade and required delivery date to vajratechnoinc@gmail.com, or use the RFQ form. Prototype and single-piece quantities are quoted as well as repeat batches.
